Here is the ultimate scary movie on our list 1973's disturbing tale of demonic possession - The Exorcist. It certainly turned a few heads.

The story of a 12 year old girl subjected to demonic possession, whilst her anxious mother and an old priest struggle to rid her of those old demons.

Superb special effects, an excellent script, mesmerising cinematography, a great cast and a truly un-nerving soundtrack are all the ingredients for this truly special film.

The Exorcist is a truly remarkable and very scary movie. Now approaching its 35th birthday, a viewing of the film shows it has lost none of its power or intensity (or downright scariness).
