Scary
movies # 10 - Shaun of the Dead
Year: 2004 Director: Edgar
Wright

Shaun of the Dead - Killing Zombies
12 inches (80's vinyl) at a time. Ok
I know Shaun Of The Dead is
not that scary but it is a superb
film, very funny, and is suitably close to the "proper" Zombie
movies that it spoofs to be included in the list.
Shaun,
caught in a dead end job, living in a flat with his lazy
childhood friend, is dumped
by his girlfriend. Things get a whole lot worse when the
dead start re-animating and come to life to roam the streets
and pray on the living. Shaun must lead his small band of
friends to safety of the place he know best - the pub.
The
Zombie genre is ripe for spoofing, and Shaun
Of The Dead succeeds both as an out
and out spoof of the genre, and as
a Zombie movie in its own right. It is also probably the
finest british comedy film made in the last few years, popular
wide both mainstream audiences
and die hard Zombie fans.
