| Written
by Richard Curtis, Starring Hugh Grant as a bumbling upper middle-class
Londoner, who falls for an american beauty - sound familiar? of
course it does its another one churned out by the Curtis factory
line that for some reason is a huge hit all over the world.
This
one has Julia Roberts playing a huge film star looking to escape
the trappings who fortuitously meets Hugh Grants character, and
they connect but things do not run smoothly. Standard stuff and
not even the presence of Rhys Ifans can take this away from the
comfortable mannered upper class nonsense that the English cinema
wants to portray to the rest of the world. Who says romance is
dead?
