A surprisingly good film about the real life and loves of Beatrix Potter. 4. Ghosts. Nick Broomfields movie drama of the tragic deaths of Chinese immigrant workers in Morecombe Bay in 2004. 5. The Man Who Fell To Earth Nic Roeg's superbly intriguing and challenging film which stars David Bowie as an alien (a role he seems over qualified for). Week Commencing 9th April 2007 Reds A special edition DVD of Warren Beaty's last great movie. Old Joy An atmospheric and pastoral piece starring the fabulous Will Oldham. Sacred Heart A superb Italian movie concerning a woman who has to look at her life following the suicides of her two friends. A Woman In Winter Richard Jobsons story about love and the mysteries of the wide universe. Life On Mars (Series 2) The best TV series in the past 10 years. No question. Starter for Ten A slice of mid 1980's University life with Mark Gatiss as the fabulous Bamber Gasgoine. Big Nothing A something and nothing film in truth but it does star Simon Pegg. Moscow Elegy A homage to Russian filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky. Harold Lloyd Short Films Somewhat forgotten genius of the silent era.
