The Brown Bunny Synopsis - The Brown Bunny centres around Bud Clay, a professional motor cycle rider, and focuses in on his journey across America from his previous race in New Hampshire to his next race five days later in California. Whilst Bud is on his journey he is looking for something, and asks women he meets along the way to join him on the trip, but always leaving them behind to continue his journey alone. But then there is always Daisy, his true love who he doesn't want to leave behind.

Review of The Brown Bunny - The Brown Bunny has the reputation for being one of the most notorious films to have been made in recent years which is a shame because as a piece of art this is a fine film. The film is typical Gallo, but even more distilled in that the action and dialogue is extremely minimal, and the film has long passages of just driving along (beautifully shot) and occasionally interspersed with a glorious narcotic soundtrack. The notoriety of this film relates not to the sparseness of the film, which is an acquired taste, but instead to a undeniably gratuitous and unnecessarily explicit sex act that is performed near the end of the film. It is a shame that this aspect of the film may have put off some people from watching this film, as it is a very beautiful piece of work indeed.
The reasons I recommend The Brown Bunny are: 1. A most beautifully shot film. 2. A tremendously worthy, if rather sparse, soundtrack. .
